Fairy Tail Episode 1 Synopsis
At Halcyon Station, a boy and a talking cat try to get off the train, but a boy named Natsu Dragneel suffers from motion sickness. When the conductor asks if he's okay, Happy the Talking Cat explains that this is common. They are looking for someone called Salamander. Happy is able to get off the train, but Natsu, unable to get off due to illness, gets on the train.
Elsewhere, a blonde girl named Lucy Heartfilia is looking for a magic shop and is surprised that there is only one in town. The shopkeeper wants to sell her ColorS, but instead finds the key from Nicola Minor. The normal price is her 20,000 Jewel, but Lucy tries to lower the price a little because of her sex appeal. She angrily wonders if her sex appeal alone was worth it just because she was able to pull off her 1000 of her Jewel. A crowd of people is swarming over someone nearby. This person is a so-called salamander. Lucy also rushes over for the fire magic that salamanders are said to possess, magic that cannot be bought at stores. Natsu and Happy also move towards the crowd. They want Salamander to be Igneel, and suspect Fire Dragon to be someone other than him.
She pays and then leaves. Looking back, I see her kneeling and thanking her for her kindness. They say they didn't have to pay for her meal because they weren't trying to save her, and Natsu wants her to get her "salamander" autograph, Lucy replies that no one wants that.
Lucy is reading a witch's magazine in the park. She finds some information about Fairy Tail, sees a photoshoot of Mirajane Strauss, the sorceress of Fairy Tail, and wonders how to become a member of this guild. , telling her that she is a member of Fairy Tail, he personally invites her to his party. Lucy happily agrees and they decide to meet at a party. In the evening, when Natsu and Happy were watching Salamander's ship, they heard some girls talking about him as a member of Fairy Tail. Natsu gets upset about this and decides to go to a party, where Lucy makes a toast with Salamander, who offers to give her something to drink. However, when Lucy discovers her sleep magic, she confronts him. When Salamander is found, he brings in his men, all of whom are carrying an unconscious woman. He calls her girls his goods and Lucy grabs their keys, but Salamander knocks them out of her hands
He catches her and throws her into the sea.
Weeping, Lucy loses her trust in Fairy Tail and tells Salamander that she is the worst sorcerer. Natsu barges in and Lucy is taken away by Happy, who can fly. The salamanders attack, but after dodging all of them, Happy runs out of magic and falls into the sea. Meanwhile, Natsu is beaten by Salamander's men because of his motion sickness. Finding her key in the sea, Lucy summons one of the strongest spirits she possessed, the water carrier Aquarius. She describes her powers as her Celestial Spirit Mage, able to summon spirits from another dimension. She orders Aquarius to blow up ships on land, but Aquarius has other plans. She calmly tells Lucy that the next time Lucy drops her keys, she will kill her, fill her urn with water, and then shoot. Water pushes the ship ashore, but Lucy and Happy are caught in the waves. When asked why she was also caught in the wave, Aquarius says it was aimed at Lucy, not the ship, and she "failed" in destroying it. I'm going on vacation with my boyfriend so I ask not to be summoned.
Returning to the ship, Natsu is no longer ill and agitated. He turns out to be a magician from Fairy Tail and they shouldn't pretend to be him. One of his sailors calls the salamander Bora and reveals that his true identity is Borazza Prominence.
A salamander appears. All the women in the crowd, including Lucy, seem fascinated by his appearance. When Natsu comes to the circle looking for him, he is disappointed as this salamander is not what he was looking for He leaves and a bunch of girls attack him and tell him to be nice to "Salamander". He offers Natsu his autograph, but Natsu doesn't want it, much to the girl's chagrin. The "Salamander" then flies away and invites everyone to the boat where the party will be held.
Lucy invites Natsu and Happy to lunch. "Salamander" used a spell that breaks the magic when the victim finds out what's going on. A guild is a place where mages gather to share information and undertake work, so she wants to join a guild in order to be recognized as a full-fledged mages. She is confident that once she joins the company, she will be able to get a job and receive a paycheck. Lucy then asks Natsu who she was looking for, and Natsu replies that it's Igneel the salamander, even though she doesn't look like a salamander. Lucy is shocked to hear that even in the magical world it is very difficult to target a dragon. She makes them realize that the dragon is not in the middle of the city, much to Happy and Natsu's shock.
