My Hero Academia Episode 1 Synopsis
Some time ago, a young Izuku Midoriya confronts Katsuki Bakugo to protect another child from bullying. Back in the present, the now 14-year-old Izuku watches a hero battle a monstrous villain.
Once upon a time, in the city of Qingqing in China, a glowing baby with unique powers was born. Then, as time went on, similar phenomena began to occur around the world, and soon the majority of the population acquired superhuman powers known as "Quirks". Because of this, people were able to practice heroism as a profession.
Kamui Woods battles giant criminals while Backdraft keeps citizens at a safe distance. Kamui Woods states that the villain used his quirk for illegal purposes, and Luckhe chained his prison to stop him from moving.
However, Mount Lady appears and uses the Canyon Cannon to defeat him. When her heroine explains that today is her debut and asks her to take care of the rest, some people start taking pictures of the heroine. start taking notes about To the man who wants to be a hero, she happily replies, "I'll do my best."
At Aldera Middle School, teachers are teaching students how they think about their future. He says he'll distribute resume printouts to any student he wants, but he knows they all want to be heroes. Be careful not to use them.
Katsuki tells Sensei that he is better than him, so don't mix them with others. His classmates yell at him, but Katsuki tells them to shut up, and they remember he was in U.A. secondary school. While the students comment on how difficult the exam is, Katsuki explains that he passed the mock exam with flying colors and plans to surpass All Might as a top hero. The teacher says that Izuku also wants to go to university.
Izuku's classmates say he can't be accepted into the Hero Course just by studying. Izuku isn't trying to compete with Katsuki, he's just chasing his childhood dream because he won't know if he can achieve it unless he tries.
Elsewhere, a villain with a slimy, liquid body is on the run. am. As a nearby crowd watches as he escapes, one comments that there is no end to villains. The man replies that she certainly has an end because he is there. Back at Izuku's junior high school, he picks up the notebook while reading about the incident on the phone, but as he gets home and prepares to take notes, Katsuki approaches the notebook and out of habit explodes it. He then throws it out the window and tells the U.A. to Izuku, who doesn't respond to his provocation, and jumps off the roof. Izuku picks up the notebook and recalls events from his childhood. That was watching a video of All Might debuting as a hero and saving over 100 people. Izuku says he wants to be like him, but is later told by a doctor to give up.He has two joints on his little finger, indicating that he is eccentric. After watching the video, he cried and asked his mother if he could become a hero like All Might, and she started crying and apologized.
Back in the present, Izuku is attacked by a villain like the runaway slime shown earlier on his way home.Suddenly, All Might appears and uses the Texas Smash against the villain. This is a powerful wind blast move that defeats villains. Izuku vaguely looks at All Might and she soon passes out.When Izuku wakes up, she is shocked to see the idol in front of her. He asks for an autograph, only to find it's already in his notebook. After confirming that Izuku is safe, All Might takes care of the villain and starts walking, but Izuku grabs him by the leg and flies away with him. He tells Hisa to let go, but Izuku says he will die if he does, while All Might looks for a place to land. All Might starts bleeding from his mouth and is worried.
All Might landed on top of the building. Izuku asks the man if it is possible for someone with no personality to become a hero like him.
