One Piece Episode 1 Synopsis
The series begins with a barrel floating in the water. Aboard a passenger ship, two sailors discover a barrel floating in the sea. The ship holds a formal dance for its rich passengers. A sailor throws a rope to hoist the barrel. However, as they pulled it, another sailor spotted a pirate ship in the distance. It is a pink ship owned by the pirate Alvida. A pirate ship known as Miss Love Duck fires a cannon, knocking a barrel out of the sailor's hands and tumbling into the kitchen. Panic ensues when a pirate ship attacks the cruise ship, pulling it sideways and boarding pirates led by Alvida.
As the pirates attack the ship, Coby, a boy who is essentially Alvida's slave, sneaks into the kitchen and rolls some barrels when some pirates come in and ask him why he's sneaking around. He then explained that he was thirsty and just as one of the pirates was about to smash the barrel with his fist, the barrel burst and Monkey D flew out. Luffy surprises everyone. The pirates try to attack him, but they are easily defeated and escape, and Coby is charmed by Luffy.
In the basement, Luffy asks if they are on a pirate ship, Coby replies that they are not, as they are on a cruise ship that has been ambushed by pirates. Luffy then explains how his dinghy was destroyed in the vortex and how he jumped into the barrel and barely survived. Luffy then states his dream and wants to be the Pirate King, which causes Coby to lose him and realize that Luffy is a pirate. During this conversation, Alvida's pirates tell the captain that the ship has a barrel monster on board, unaware that Nami has blinded them. and tells Luffy that he is not Roronoa Zoro. After that, Luffy asks who the fat woman is, angering Alvida.
Alvida attacks, but Luffy picks up Coby and rushes him from the basement onto the deck. He is attacked by Alvida's pirates, but Knocked them all out with Gum-Gum's rocket attack. While everyone is shocked by this, Luffy explains that he is a rubber human who ate the Gum-Gum Fruit. He says he wants to find the One Piece, and he thinks 10 would be nice and is currently looking for a crew. Alvida asks Kobe who is the most beautiful woman in the world. Alvida, who she was teaching Coby to stay by her side, was inspired by Luffy She was shocked when Coby stood up and Alvida shouted she was a stinky, fat, old witch.
Alvida angrily attacks. Her mace hits Luffy Shizoku in the head, but he doesn't move. Luffy declares that a normal attack like this won't work on Rubberman, so he goes back and uses Gum-Gum's pistol attack to blow up Alvida. Luffy orders the rest of Alvida's pirates to prepare the boat for him and Coby, and they jump onto the boat and set sail, glancing at Nami on the boat as they pull away. Luffy sets sail into the Great Blue Sea and asks about the pirate hunters Coby mentioned. Koby says he has been captured by the Marines, and Luffy announces that he is going to ask him to join the crew. Luffy makes up his mind and says he will recruit Roronoa Zoro as the next member. As they talk, the scene shifts to a nearby naval base, with a man wearing a green scarf tied to a cross and looking up.
