Exciting news for all One Piece fans! The long-running anime series, ONE PIECE, is set to receive a brand new ending theme song titled "Raise" by Chilli Beans. This marks the first ending song for the anime since 2006, and it's scheduled to make its debut on August 6, along with the Gear 5 episode. The announcement comes as part of the 26th-anniversary celebration of the anime, known as the ONE PIECE DAY, celebrated on July 21-22.


The last time an ending theme song graced an episode was in the iconic episode 278, titled "Say You Want to Live! We Are Your Friends!" This memorable episode features Usopp taking down the World Government flag, and it was accompanied by the theme song "Adventure World" by Delicatessen.

In addition to this exciting announcement, a new trailer for the ONE PIECE Netflix live-action adaptation was also unveiled. The main cast participated in live voice-over sessions for some scenes, engaging the audience in fun ways. Hiro Shimono (adult Momonosuke) and Megumi Han (Tama-chan) later joined for the Land of Wano Behind the Scenes Special. Furthermore, a trailer for Gear 5 revealed that OWARI NO SEKAI will perform the new opening theme song, which is also set to premiere on August 6.


Apart from the new ending theme, there's more good news! A fresh main theme song for One Piece is on its way, and SEKAI NO OWARI has been announced as the performing artist.

The One Piece anime, produced by Toei Animation, first aired in 1999 and recently surpassed the monumental milestone of 1000 episodes on November 21, 2021. In August 2022, the 15th One Piece anime movie, One Piece Film Red, premiered in Japan and proved to be a massive success, ranking as the country's eighth highest-grossing film and achieving global acclaim as one of the highest-grossing anime movies.

For international viewers, the anime is available for streaming on Crunchyroll and iQIYI outside of Japan. The series is based on the manga created by Eiichirou Oda, which began its serialization in 1997 and has since accumulated an impressive 106 tankoubon volumes as of June 2023. The manga is published in Weekly Shonen Jump under the Jump Comics label and has been an inspiration for various adaptations, including a 1999 OVA produced by Production I.G.
